Our valuation services cater to a range of requirements, including sales, insurance, and probate, with options for both free and fee-based valuations depending on the nature of the service required. Here’s a comprehensive look at what you can expect when using our art valuers at Victoria Fine Art.
Comprehensive Art Valuation Services
Our art valuers are here to help you understand the worth of your artworks. With extensive knowledge in various artistic styles, movements, and historical contexts, we ensure your art valuation is based on accurate market insights. Whether you are considering selling, insuring, or securing a probate valuation, our team offers an individualised approach, ensuring that each piece is thoroughly evaluated.
Free Art Valuation for Gallery Sales
For clients who wish to place their artworks for sale with us, we offer a free valuation service. This allows you to receive a professional opinion on your artwork’s market value at no additional cost, making the process smooth and convenient. Our art valuers are dedicated to providing you with insights into your painting’s current market value, helping you make an informed decision about placing it for sale.
We understand that some clients are simply curious about the value of their pieces. For those who bring their paintings directly into our gallery, we offer complimentary verbal valuations. These informal valuations give you an idea of your artwork’s market worth without any commitment. Simply visit our gallery, and our art valuers will be happy to assist you in understanding more about your piece. A minimum fee of £25 is charged for a written valuation of goods brought into the gallery.
Written Art Valuations for Insurance and Probate
For clients who need formal documentation, Victoria Fine Art offers written art valuations for insurance and probate purposes. Our written valuations include a detailed cataloguing of each piece, ensuring accuracy and providing you with a clear record. These valuations are based on a scale fee: 3% of the artwork’s value up to £10,000 and 1.5% thereafter, with a minimum charge of £100. Occasionally, our art valuers may extend a discount on valuation fees at their discretion, making our service as accessible as possible.
Transparent Fees and Discounts
At Victoria Fine Art, we prioritise transparency in our valuation services. Our fee structure is designed to be fair and proportional to the value of your artwork. For valuations exceeding £10,000, our discounted rate applies, helping you save on larger-scale appraisals. We encourage you to discuss any special circumstances with our team, as discounts may sometimes be available on a case-by-case basis.

Our team of experienced art valuers at Victoria Fine Art provides evaluations grounded in years of market experience and meticulous research, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of each valuation.
