Charles Desmarquais

Charles Hippolyte Desmarquais was born on the first of July 1823 in Bouray, France.

He was a painter of landscapes with figures and landscapes in oil and painted in the style of the Barbizan school which included Corot, Rousseau and Daubigny.

Desmarquais made his painting debut at the Paris Salon in 1848.

He has a piece hanging in the Liege Museum.
