Gaston Bouy (1866-1935)

Henri-Gaston-Jules-Louis Bouy, known as Gaston Bouy, was a French artist.

A painter of portraits, landscapes and interiors who was born at Bois Colombes (Seine) on September 2nd 1866.

He worked under Amédée Bourson and studied in Paris at the Julian Academy and the Beaux Arts School.  He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais and also at the Nationale.. He mostly worked in pastels and his female figures are especially prized.
