Sara Henze

1862-1936

The Dutch artist Sara Henze was born in 1862 in Zeist and is best known for her gorgeous still-life flower paintings. Her vivid bouquets are brought to life by her careful examination of the soft texture of the petals and thoughtful colour palette of dusty rose, ivory, deep green and crimson. She studied in Germany, Geneva and at Oxford and was also a pupil of M.C.J.H.Roosenboom.
