William Frank Calderon (1865 – 1943)
Portrait, landscape, figure and sporting painter.
Son of Philip Hermongenes Calderon. He studied at the Slade School and was Founder and Principal of the School of Animal Painting in 1894 – 1916.
He became a member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in 1891. In 1936 he published ‘Animal Paint and Anatomy’.
