This design emanates from the reign of Louis XIII where the most common organic motifs were oak or laurel leaves bordered by ribbons, husks or leaf tips. The general style came out of French architectural Baroque ceiling design. This frame has a leaf sight edge, sand channel with a leaf and acorn top edge
